The American Film Institute in 2007 released their 100 Years…100 Movies lists. I have a special fondness for these lists. When first diving into the world of film in all earnestness, I wanted a guide to show me what films I should see to round out my film experience. I found these lists and for the first time I dove into watching classic films and I have never looked back. While I obviously disagree with several of the choices landing within these lists, as anyone would, I will forever be grateful for it being my gateway into this wonderful art form.
